Roisin Lennon, RAMP Women and Infant Services, Sligo University Hospital
Daughter, sister, nurse, midwife, wife, mother, nurse/midwife prescriber, registered advanced midwife practitioner in midwifery led care since 2017 and adjunct lecturer in University of Galway since 2021. Passionate about normalising pregnancy and birth and providing continuity of care to a locally agreed caseload of women who would not meet the criteria for midwife led care. Year on year around 20% of women birthing in Sligo have RAMP care. The vaginal birth rates for the service are around 75-80% with a CS birth rate of 20-25%. The women rate the service highly in their feedback questionnaire and many return more than once! Highly committed to undertaking audit and research with a great symbiotic link/partnership to the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Galway.
