NMBI 2026 Annual Registration Renewal window is now open. Renew online up to 31 January 2026

The NMBI 2026 annual registration renewal window is now open. Registrants can renew online up to 31 January 2026.

Renewals must be done through the online portal – MyNMBI. The portal has recently been upgraded to ensure the renewal process is as user-friendly as possible. While the portal may look different, the process is the same and will only take a few minutes to complete. The registrant’s username has not changed; however, they will need to change their password to access their account. Payments cannot be made by phone.

Registrants should ensure that all their details are up to date, including contact information (address, email address and phone number) and employment details. This is a legal requirement under Section 53 of the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011, as amended. They will also be required to read and declare that the information they have provided is accurate. This is an important part of their registration.

To assist registrants through the annual renewal process, NMBI have created a step-by-step video and guides, and advise that registrants view these before renewing their registration. The guides can be found at:  website.

For any queries or support, NMBI customer care centre can be contacted at 0818 200 116 (+353 818 200 116 from outside Ireland), open Monday-Friday 9am to 5:30pm or by email at regservices@nmbi.ie.
