Margaret has been a RANP in Emergency Medicine since 2005. She is also a Registered Children’s Nurse, Nurse Prescriber of both Ionising Radiation and medications. She completed her MSc Advanced practice in UCD in 2004.
Margaret established Ireland’s first Injury unit in Monaghan hospital and worked there until she was invited to establish an injury unit on the sister site in Cavan Emergency Department in 2012.
Margaret is a member of the IAANMP since its inception. She is an active member of both EMP ANP & LIU forums. She is passionate about educating both nursing and medical staff within ED and provides mentorship for staff undertaking further education. She is an advocate for the progression of advanced practice.
