Dear Colleagues.
An Bord Altranais is preparing to hold an online election for eight nurses and midwives to be members of the soon to be newly named Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann or Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
This is a great opportunity for all registered nurses and midwives to ensure that the nurses and midwives elected will reflect and represent the views and interests of both professions.
We are very keen to increase awareness about the election process and to generate increased interest of nurses and midwives, and any assistance we can get to do this would be great. I was hoping that you might be in a position to assist us in circulating information about the election to your nursing and midwifery colleagues and employees. The eVoting ballot will commence on 19 September 2012 at 9.00 am and will close on 1 October 2012 at 4.00 pm.
Details of the nomination and election process are available on our website at the following link:
Any queries about the election can be addressed to election@nursingboard.ie or you can call 01 6398557 direct.
Any assistance in circulating this information is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Deirdre Hogan
Deputy Chief Executive Officer
